A lecture worth your time: the endocannabinoid system explained
Dr Stefan Broselid, Scientific Lead of the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society, gave an excellent lecture on the endocannabinoid system. This is not a lecture promoting cannabis as a medicine. It is a clear explanation of a poorly understood and often overlooked physiological system with wide-ranging effects on homeostasis, metabolism, inflammation, mood, pain, appetite and health.
For clinicians who remain sceptical about cannabinoid medicines, this is still highly relevant. Understanding the endocannabinoid system is not about accepting or rejecting cannabis prescribing, it is about understanding human physiology.
I would encourage any clinician to set aside an hour to watch it, whether they are involved in cannabinoid medicine or not.

Comments & discussion
I welcome discussion on everything I write here. Medicine is rarely black and white, and botanical medicine shows even greater variance than most fields. I am genuinely open to other opinions and perspectives, and I read every comment.
Comments are approved before they appear, so there may be a short delay. Frank discussion of drugs, drug use, and differing clinical views is welcome. Hateful or abusive comments are not.
